Katherine McRea, due to some Freaky Friday shenanigans, is a Muppet trapped in human form.It doesn't suit her. A chronically-ill, nonbinary, Virginia-based spoonie just trying to make it through another day and another draft, Katherine commits homicide in fiction in lieu of real life. When not investigating murder and mayhem, her characters are finding ways to thrive and find love despite their own challenges with disability and neurodivergence. Katherine believes that storytelling is the foundation of our society and writes for under-represented voices that haven’t seen enough of themselves in fiction.
With a life run by three cats, Victor, Grimmy, and Charlie, Katherine spends her sparse spare time reading, playing games, and taking the fuzzy children for walks. She has an MA in Creative writing and is a member of Sisters In Crime (SINC). In a former life, she was an opera singer, filmmaker, and screenwriter. As you can see, she has always had a penchant and passion for stories!
